Our wedding mClothworkers Consort colourusic service

The Clothworkers Consort can provide choral music to a professional standard for weddings at cathedrals, churches and other venues.

The Choir generally sings as guests arrive, during the signing of the register, and in the leading of the hymns; other music can be sung by prior arrangement.

Although it is possible for us to sing at midweek weddings, availability is limited. In addition, the choir gets booked up a long time in advance, so early booking for all weddings is essential!

Charges

Charges for weddings depend upon travel, availability of singers and other factors such as organist, unusual requests, etc; but a rough figure of £500 (+ VAT) can be used for budgeting purposes. If you require us to supply an organist, this may be greater.

Choice of Music

We can provide a wide range of music in a wide range of styles and genres. We can assist you with choosing of hymns, organ music and choral pieces.

If you are uncertain as to what you require, we are happy to make suggestions for you from a range of popular wedding music.

Booking the choir

To discuss your requirements or to book the choir, please phone Bryan White on 0113 3438228, or email us at ccl@leeds.ac.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you and making your special day even more special!

Some happy customers' comments

"I just wanted to drop you a line to pass on a huge thanks to yourself and all the choir members for the beautiful music at our wedding last week.  The singing was fabulous and so moving.  Even the roughty-toughty men of the congregation told us after the ceremony how touched they were!!!  Having you guys there really made the wedding service something special and so enjoyable - now I just can't wait for our DVD to hear it all over again! And an extra special thanks to you for going the extra mile prior to the wedding by being so good at keeping in touch, making such great suggestions, and attending the rehearsal - thank you!"
(Michelle Horkan, wedding on 6 June 2015, at St Anthony's RC Church, Beeston, Leeds)

"Steve, I don't know where to start, I could cry now thinking about how fabulous and magical your choir sounded on our wedding day, it's literally all people have been talking about. The two songs whilst singing the register were just magical. I have never been to a service that's so full of tears and smiling in one go. Seeing our guests going from sobbing to smiling and clapping along will stay with me forever. I'm just bursting with happiness about how amazing you guys were. All in the choir had big smiles on their faces and seemed to genuinely enjoy it themselves - you see it so many times these days when people get paid to turn up and provide a service without any emotion. I've only ever seen my Dad cry twice in my life and he was an emotional wreck on the day."
(Charlotte Hanvey, wedding on 21st June 2014, St John's Church, Oulton)

"Immense thanks to the choir and to you Steve for a breathtaking performance on our wedding day. I truly felt like royalty walking down the aisle to the sound of the choir. Steve, your recommendations of powerful and uplifting song choices fitted our brief perfectly and your soloist left our guests with 'goose bumps'. Your attention to detail, expertise and knowledge were matched only by the choir's astounding performance."
(Mrs Brooke, wedding on 1 October 2011, Harrogate)

"The choir were undoubtly the highlight of our service at Ripon Cathedral. The choir were remarkable, instantly enhancing the whole ambiance of the day. The choir astounded and delighted our guests with the range and vibrancy which the choir successfully brought to our ceremony within such unique and magnificant surroundings. Our friends have already requested contact details for their wedding."
(Amy Mallorie, wedding on 9th September 2011, Ripon Cathedral)

"I just want to say a HUGE thank you and the choir for singing so magnificently at our wedding, EVERYONE commented on how amazing you were and how fantastic the soprano singer was on the solos. Thank you thank you thank you. I particularly loved the Halleluiah at the end, made everyone laugh!"
(Victoria Wells, wedding on 5th November 2010, St Lucius' Church, Farnley Tyas)

"The choir helped to make our wedding ceremony a day to remember, beautiful voices and an excellent service ... they brought the congregation to life! Stephen did a fantastic job at understanding exactly what music I wanted to create a perfect wedding day! He helped with the choice of music and organised everything from start to finish - I couldn't have wished for more. Your service was fantastic, you said from the start that you'd make it easy for us and that we'd have nothing to worry about and how true to your word you were. Thanks so much!"
(Rebecca Craven, wedding on 25th May 2007, St John's Church, Farsley)

"Our wedding was such a perfect day and the music was really special. You added to the magic in church. I was really excited when you sang my favourite song during the signing of the register. You couldn't see us but I noticed and loved it. We have and will continue to recommend you to ANYONE. Your effort and communication before the wedding as well was lovely. Thank you so much."
(Lorna Pass, wedding on 1st June 2007, St Stephen's R. C. Church, Skipton)

"...the choir looked magnificent and provided a wonderful backdrop to the ceremony. The singing was beautiful and assisted the inevitably reticent congregation! The carol service in the evening was of equal delight, again providing both a visual treat under the Christmas tree by the chestnut roaster and also fabulous singing. Given the freezing conditions, it's no small wonder you could sing at all! All of your members were such delightful people to work with; indeed, the Groom was so taken by your choir that he insisted on personally serving each and every member with a glass of mulled wine after their performance. We will in the future recommend and book the choir without hesitation."
