Clothworkers Consort of Leeds presents a concert of music for Advent and Christmas. The concert takes place in the beautiful chapel of the Leeds Universities Catholic Chaplaincy on St Mark’s Avenue (LS2 9BN), across Woodhouse Lane from the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The choir with be joined by the baritone soloist Leslie John Flanagan, Associate Professor of Voice at the University of Oklahoma. He will be the feature soloist in Ken Burton’s ‘Descend to earth’ and Peter Cornelius’s ‘Three Kings’. The programme will include works by Palestrina, Hans Leo Hassler, Brahms, Holst and Cheryl Frances-Hoad, along with well-loved Christmas favourites, concluding with Paul Ayres’s superb arrangement of ‘Winter Wonderland’.
Parking
Parking is available on St Mark's Avenue, and in the lower two car parks of St Anne’s Community Services on St Mark's Avenue, opposite the Chaplaincy.
Please do not use the upper car park, as it is required for emergency service access.
