Haworth weekend

Date
Saturday 22 - Sunday 23 October, 2016

NB This event is for choir members only

The Haworth weekend is an annual visit to the beautiful village of Haworth in the Yorkshire moors, home of the Brontë sisters, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.

The weekend, spent mostly at Haworth's extremely comfortable Youth Hostel, is devoted to intensive (but enjoyable!) rehearsals of repertoire for the coming year, along with many opportunities for socializing and getting to know your fellow choir members. Tea, coffee and excellent homemade cakes flow in abundance, along with the occasional beer or two....

The visit occupies the whole weekend from early Saturday to late Sunday, usually culminating with choral evensong at a local church. Because we get through a very large amount of music during this weekend, the visit is considered compulsory for all members. (But it's fun!!)
