A perennial favourite and the traditional start to Christmas, Handel’s Messiah is as popular now as it was over two and a half centuries ago, from the heartfelt simplicity of ‘I know that my Redeemer liveth’ to the grandeur of the ‘Hallelujah’ chorus. Those who have attended a Camerata Messiah in previous years will attest to the quality and energy of their performances.

6.15pm Pre-concert talk by Dr Bryan White
As part of our New Angles programme ticket holders can attend a free pre-concert talk by Baroque music expert Dr Bryan White explaining Handel's relationship with London's Foundling Hospital and how it shaped his Messiah.
